Alabama January 12th Tornado Disaster

On January 12, 2023, the State of Alabama was hit with severe storms, straight-line winds, and tornadoes which adversely impacted Autauga, Barbour, Chambers, Conecuh, Coosa, Dallas, Elmore, Greene, Hale, Sumpter, and Tallapoosa counties.  


The city of Selma received some of the heaviest destruction with homes damaged and destroyed, and trees uprooted from the direct impact of the reported EF-2 / EF-3 tornadoes.  


Since the tornado events hit our neighbors, I Care Alabama is partnering with several organizations providing support and resources to help restore the families affected by this disaster. 

Impact Report of the January 12th Disaster

Your gift today will:  


         •        Provide Disaster Case Management Assistance  


         •        Provide Navigators to connect citizens to emergency relief and supplies  


         •        Connect vulnerable families to community-based resources  


         •        Provide furniture and other items needed for resettling families   


         •        Resource the unmet needs tables that manage the gaps in care for families   


Help us provide Chaplain Training, Navigator Training, Case Management Training, Recovery Resources for resettling Selma families, assist vulnerable families in Autauga, Coosa, Dallas, Elmore, and Hale Counties.
